You should of had an email with all this on already. Welcome to Round 2 of the 2023/24 Mardave GP Series at Hednesford Indoor Raceway. This is the side entrance to the school that allows access to the main sports hall. Please look at the information above as the main Academy entrance on Belt Road does NOT allow access to the hall.

NO SMOKING

No Smoking: As this is a school the whole site is strictly a no smoking area and that includes vapes and E-cigarettes. Smoking is only allowed outside of the school gates on View Street. Please be aware that the school operate a 24-hour CCTV surveillance system.

Fire Safety

Fire safety There are no planned fire alarm tests on the day, so if the fire alarm sounds, please leave the building via the 2 fire escape doors at the end of the sports hall (this will be pointed out in the drivers briefing) and assemble on the carpark. A Fire bucket will be placed by race control for any incidents that may occur.

Meeting Information

Meeting Information Our Track: Is in the main sports hall. We run on Lindau carpet that covers an area of almost 400m2, with a width of 14 metres and a length of around 25 metres (See photos below of our venue). The track is marked out with 50mm2 plastic with flexible corner markers. Cars must be placed on the track with dry tyres DO NO WIPE SURPLUS ADDITIVE OFF ON THE CARPET Opening Times: Hall opens at 8:15am (Times subject to alteration). Qualifying Starts at 9.30. Meeting will finish at 4.25 we hope. GT12 will run for 6 Min. Please don't try to gain entry before this time unless you are part of the event assembly team. Once we know the total number of entrants the heats and times will be available on RC Timing: https://www.rc-results.com/viewer/Main/VenueMeetings?venueId=16 Meeting Timings: Dependent on entry numbers " 8:15am Doors Open " Times Dependent on entry numbers " 5pm Close.

Racing/Driver Etiquette

Racing/Driver etiquette: Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour will NOT be tolerated, towards other racers, marshals, and club officials. In qualifying you are racing against the clock not the other racers in your heat so please let any faster cars through.

Power Supply

Electric: Please bring an extension lead with you for your own use. We should have enough but just incase bring your own. Also ensure your kit is safe to use if not you will trip everyone piggy backing of your supply.

Pitting & Tables

Pitting & Table and Chairs: The venue will have tables and chairs available for your use, you can use two tables and one chair per person (these will be setup, please do not rearrange them). the tables are approximately 600mm x 600mm. PLEASE bring your own table covering with you, this must be used to save any damage to the tables. Bear in mind that you may need to restrict the amount of kit you bring with you as we are only allowed two tables per person.

Rostrum

Rostrum: Please access the rostrum by the steps, once the previous heats drivers have left. Please do not lean on the handrail and stand behind the red and white tape. Following your race please leave the rostrum and place your car and any equipment on the scrutineering table then go straight to your marshalling point. Collect your car and any equipment after you have marshalled. If you cannot continue your race, do not leave the rostrum until the race has finished, just take a step back so as not to distract the other drivers.

Tyre Truing

Tyre Truing A tyre truing area will be set up in our equipment container just outside of the main hall. You will require your own truer.

Air Blowers

Air Blowers Air blowers are allowed but again must be used outside, cars and shells may be brushed off in the main hall but please use one of the bins provided.

Food & Drink

Food & Drink: There will be a food van on site between the hours of 8:30am till 4:00pm (See attached Menu). There are three McDonalds restaurants within a couple of miles of the venue, a map will be available at the venue. Full Menue is on the Email you should of had.
